DIY Invader Zim Party

How to Plan your own DIY Invader Zim Party

Here is how I made my own DIY Invader Zim Party. My Invader Zim Party was super easy to put together (while I was on Quarantine) and very affordable!

This post will be an overall summary of what went into designing and making the party come to life. If you have questions or want me to go into more detail on specifics, let me know in the comments and I would be happy to make a blog all about it. There will be another post showing where I got everything for the party so you can find it too.

Decorations

Backdrop

Invader Zim was one of my favorite Cartoons from my childhood! I loved watching Zim and Gir challenge themselves to take over the world! I decided to use the space tapestry from my doctor who party to set the scene. I pinned pink and green (Dollar Tree) balloons and tissue paper puffs to the top of the tapestry making it look spacey. I layered on my gold Star Banner, also from my Doctor Who Party (Wish) to finished off the top. My favorite party of the background was my custom font Invader Zim Banner. It was simple but effective in giving off the overall ascetic I was looking for.

Party Table

Working from the Bottom up my DIY Invader Zim Party table scape was small but effective and SO EASY! anyone could DIY this is a matter of Minutes. I started with a hot pink rectangle tablecloth from Dollar Tree. I used a thick sharpie to add Zim Stripes to the table cloth along the creases. I topped the table off with a silver and gold star sequins. Simple yet effective.

Table Decorations

My table decor is a fun collection of Invader Zim Inspired items that I either bought from Dollar Tree or had on hand. Everything was printable or had a purpose. From the right, I found these adorable clear party containers, that I filled with “purple things” and followed by “food holders”. I am experimenting with large cutouts being added to my party line. If your interested in these for other parties just message me. Up next I used my own green flowers to add some floral to the table, but I topped them off with pink and green bloom bows from Dollar Tree. Next I placed a bunch of “Space Lollies” in another clear Dollar Tree party container. Very Simple and fun design.

Moving on to the show stopper. The “Poop-cakes” cupcakes. The cupcakes turned out so bright and colorful that they brought the set up together! I must say that they really made my Invader Zim cupcake topper and Invader Zim Cupcake wrappers really stand out and steal the show.
