Here is how I made my own DIY Jurassic Park Party. I will go over everything from top to bottom so you can throw one like mine or BETTER!!

This post will be an overall summary of what went into designing and making the party come to life. If you have questions or want me to go into more detail on specifics, let me know in the comments and I would be happy to make a blog all about it. There will be another post showing where I got everything for the party so you can find it too.

Decorations

Backdrop

For my backdrop I wanted to channel the jungle of Jurassic Park. I used my textured green throw blanket as the topper, and draped it to the sides. I created a Jurassic Park Logo custom name sign to display on top. Then, Behind everything I hung a green (Dollar Store) table cloth with light green streamers to make stripes. I was pretty pleased with how everything turned out. My daughter found these fake flowers when we were out shopping and brought them home, I decided to add them to the backdrop to add to the baby shower look. I finished everything off with my new “Life finds a way” banner.

Party Table

My party table was the jeep from Jurassic Park! I was inspired by Pinterest and wanted to pull it off so you could too! I started with a black (Dollar tree) Table cloth over the whole table. I then draped a gold (Dollar Tree) table cloth over the middle, Just enough for the Jeep print out. I free-handed JP09 on the “hood” of the Jeep. To complete the look I tried to create the windows of the jeep but they turned out too tall. (LOL) Maybe you’ll have better luck.

Food

DIY Jurassic Park Party Menu:

• Dino Cakes: Red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting; Sugar bones and dino favors.
• Fossil Cookies: Peanut Butter cookies with dinosaur steps on them
• Bronto Nuggets
• Jurassic Tots

All the artwork was created by me to show off for this Party Set up and everything is printable and available in my shop or as a bundle on my Etsy.

My Favors were simple but fun! You can find my Thank you cards here. I used simple cloth drawstring bags filled with candy and mini dinosaurs!

My daughter is a “Clever Girl” in this clever girl raptor tee! I customized it for her with fringe! I Love fringe!
