How to Plan your own Undertale DIY Party

This Undertale DIY party was inspired to be a 13th Birthday Party for Frisk. I hope it inspires your parties. If you imagine something different for your party I would love to see it!

Lets get started with the background. I used a basic black dollar tree table cloth as the backdrop, draped black table cloths across the top to add more texture to the top of my display. You’ll find Flowey cutout in my Undertale Party Supplies shop and use green streamers to create a vine from Flowey to the table. The Happy Birthday Banner is included in my Undertale Alphabet Banner set along with the character cutouts in my Undertale Party supplies listing.

Party Table

Welcome to my super simple Undertale DIY Party table. More black was needed for this super dark game. Layering several black plastic table cloths with a sheer spider tablecloth I usually use for Halloween. I found this adorable halloween house at target this year which fit so perfectly on the Undertale DIY Party table. (Far right). The finishing touch other then food was to find all my fake yellow flowers and scatter them all over the table. Just like the beginning of the game where Frisk landed in a bed of yellow flowers. Genius.

I wanted to keep the background of my table very dark so all the colors of the printables and food would stand out.

This is the left side of the table, you’ll find a Spider Bake sale with Spider donuts, hand iced my myself with spider web icing. My “Sticks” are crunchy breadsticks. Upfront of the table are my Snowman piece mini donuts, Glam burger cookies and Butterscotch Pies are actually apple pies, Butterscotch pies are surprisingly hard to find.

My Right side of my table displayed my Virtue heart favors and Monster candy (Because this is a Halloween party for me). You’ll need an abandoned quiche of course and Temmie Flakes for your Undertale Party Table. Every party needs cupcakes and This Undertale DIY Party table has 13 characters as cupcake toppers and 4 different cupcake Liners.

The Main event at this Undertale DIY party was this amazing cake by Jaime’s Cakes in Ocoee FL. You can find his Cake toppers online if your looking for some of your own.

Welcome to my simple fun DIY Bluey Party, Small Business edition. I decided to throw my son a simple pool party at our community pool this year (Mostly to keep everyone healthy, 2021 you know) and I wanted to showcase some other small businesses in the process! Lets start with the backdrop. Since this was a quick set up at a public pool I opted for easy set up and take down. I actually created this water effect for my DIY Bioshock party set up and it worked great for this set up too! I topped the top with blue dollar tree pom-poms. Check out this amazing Banner from MamamadeAU on etsy. This is their “For real life Happy Birthday Banner”, is it not the cutest!

Party Table

The party table was kept simple to show off all the cute things from the small businesses I supported. You can see the most adorable party hats I have ever beheld from MamamadeAU. The table held blue plates (duh) and a simple blue table cloth, capable of getting wet, so close to a pool with kids.

Anyone else have these super cute plushies from the official Bluey Collection? We found ours at Target and couldn’t resist getting them for his birthday.

My Centerpiece

This giant Bluey didn’t make it to the party because I was afraid she would get all wet in the pool but she made an appearance at his 2 year old photoshoot with Lalalu Photography.

Food

My DIY Bluey Party Menu:

Keeping the kids happy and my menu simple I just included cupcakes and had the party between meals (3-5pm).

I got the best cupcakes from Publix of course in Orange (Bingo) and Blue (Bluey) Colors. I found the most amazing cupcake liners from Celestia Digital Shop. They have so many popular shows available as Printables in their Etsy shop. These particular ones are of Bingo and Blueys’ faces as a wrapper. They also included the tails in the printable! Adorable! I didn’t add them to mine because I was afraid of what a bunce of 2 year old’s would do with them. This file also included 12 printable cupcake toppers of some of the popular characters of the show.

My Party invitations were purchased from MamamadeAU with the most adorable graphics! They have tons of images to choose from including this cute little Bluey cake. Here was my invitation! look at how Adorable!

DIY Favors & Gifts:

Favors:

Favors was probably my favorite part, Other then the Bluey hats! You can find these Bluey and Bingo favor bags at MamamadeAU. They are a super easy printable to put together. I filled each one with lots of Bluey themed goodies from MamamadeAU too. Including a Feather Wand, Thank you Tag, Sticky Gecko, a Keepy Uppy Balloon and I thank you Stickered Lollypop. Check out all the other goodies they have available in their shop!

 Fashion

When searching for a Bluey themed outfit that could also work for my Bluey themed pool party I ran to Etsy for something handmade of course! I found Golden Cactus Tutus on Etsy. They were able to quickly put together this brother and sister look for my DIY Bluey party. Don’t they look adorable!

Channeling my inner Kingdom Hearts was so much fun with this backdrop. Looking to the video game Kingdom Hearts my favorite world was Alice in Wonderland so I included checkerboard in my background with this fabric sheet. The Kingdom Hearts Alphabet Banner got a bit too lost in the checkerboad so I topped it with a light blue plastic table cloth to block out the banners. The Topper of my background is curtained black table cloth with my favorite gold table runner. The bottom banner is my favorite one so far, Its my Kingdom Hearts Keyblade Banner. Each key was hand drawn by me and I am in love.

Party Table

Welcome to my super simple Kingdom Hearts table. The same background checkboard fabric covered my party table. Adding this glitter red table runner brought in a bit of the Queen of hearts I was looking for in my Kingdom Hearts Party. I had to add my white rabbit vase on the left and Mirror tray full of tea cups on the right. I had a lot of fun with this set up and I hope you find Inspiration from my ideas for your own Kingdom Hearts Party.

My Centerpiece

The Kingdom Hearts Party show stopper is this beautiful cake from Jaime’s Cakes of Ocoee FL. It quite literally made the table complete. Can also spot my Heartless Favor bags in the center of the table? These printable Favor Bags make a fun little addition to the party.

Food

Meet my Kingdom Hearts Party Cupcakes! These delicious cupcakes are from Publix. Half have Navy icing and the other Half Black icing, each cupcake is circled with gold sprinkles. I topped each cupcake with a little Kingdom Hearts Character Cupcake Toppers and Placed them in Keyblade Cupcake Liners.

I wanted to showcase my drawn characters in my backdrop. I picked one color per character and made a student rainbow (Go Pride). I topped the top with colored balloons and a simple star Banner. The Happy Birthday banner and Deku letters are part of my printable My Hero Academia Alphabet Banner.

I showcased All Might in my table using 3 tablecloths and my gold table runner. I also added silver place settings, texture explosions if you will.

Table Decorations

My Hero Academia table decorations can be super practical and easy to find around your home. I used some silver plate displays and clear plates. Keep this set up simple unless you have figures, Like I wish I did.

My Centerpiece

This Centerpiece was a vision I’ve had for the entire set up. I created this UA look alike cupcake stand from foam board and hot glue. I wanted the students to be showcased like they are at UA.

I wanted this party to be nice and simple for my Husbands birthday. I used my classic space tapestry topped with a Balloon garland I found on Amazon. I decided to DIY these cute little Metroid balloons with my own Printables. You can find the Printables free here in two sizes. One large for Piñatas and a page of 4 minis for Balloons (as shone).

Party Table

Welcome to my super simple Metroid party table! I found these amazing iridescent table clothes from Dollar Tree. To add texture I added silver place mats and created height and interest with Orange paper pom-poms and teal tulle. By the end I felt something was missing so I found some star garland to tie everything together.

My Husband is the Metroid fan, so of course I needed to include his Metroid Amiibos. Can you find all 6?

My Centerpiece

My Centerpiece is just what you would expect for an awesome birthday party! A beautiful cake from Jaime’s Cakes (Winter Garden/ Ocoee Bakery). Samus Helmet Cake needed to be center of attention on my table because it is that amazing!

So many of my friends grew up with Card Captor Sakura (I was honestly jealous) because I was a Sailor Moon Girl. But this theme was so much fun from the research to planning to set up. I am falling in love! Sakura x Syaoran forever! But anyway, to the backdrop! I started with a pink Dollar tree tablecloth, Topped with a HUGE red poster board bow! Let me know if your interested in a tutorial, but it was honestly super easy. 2 Poster boards and hot glue. Throw in a gold star banner and my Card Captor Sakura Alphabet Banner and you have a great backdrop! Want to make it better? Add my printable Clowcards! I have 15 pages of cards just waiting for their new owners! 45 cards total. The best part is you get to use them again as décor in your everyday.

Party Table

Welcome to my super simple party table! All you need for this set up is a Red table cloth (Dollar Tree) and a lace table cloth! I thrifted this pretty floral one, its actually a curtain. I topped the table with some pink petal place mats from Michaels. It doesn’t get easier then 3 things.

Table Decorations

When I thought of Card Captor Sakura, I thought lace, and elegance and especially pink. It was easy to lean into a elegant tea party set up. Décor included several Kero plushies and Sakura Blossoms. Many of my platters and dishes are thrifted and I use as display items in my home regularly. My Tomoyo tart platter was actually from the Dollar Tree. If you look closely you can even see I used my own Manga as a platter! No manga was harmed in the making of this Party. lol. But it worked out so beautifully.

My Centerpiece

My Centerpiece is something I’m pretty proud of! I made this Card Captor Sakura Staff Wand! Its a printable from Megaceros on Etsy! It took a little while to put together but so worth it! I placed her in a candle stick holder and it couldn’t have worked out better!

Here is how I made my own DIY Animal Crossing Party on a Budget. This pandemic has strapped everyone for cash, but that shouldn’t stop you for making the most amazing Animal Crossing Party you can on a budget!

Our family chose Animal Crossing as my daughters 4th birthday party because she loves to play and its her first video game. We wanted to mark the milestone with this beautiful party. We decided to add an extra element to our Animal Crossing party by combining theme with Tea Party. My Daughters gift for the party was her very own tea set. Her and her brother had a great time eating their treats and drinking “tea” from her new Teapot.

Backdrop

Backdrops are so much fun and a great easy way to get a bang for your buck. I found the light blue and white (behind the blue) plastic table cloths from the Dollar Tree. Fill the top with filler, I used sky colors to mimic the Animal Crossing clear skies I’m so used to in the game. You can find the white (Cloud) tissue puffs and pin wheels at the Dollar Tree as well. Of course you NEED all the insects so I snagged this large butterflies too, put them everywhere.

Find this super cute Happy Birthday sign in my shop as a easy DIY for your Party table. Top everything off with my Animal Crossing Alphabet Banner. You have a super effective backdrop for your Animal Crossing Party.

Party Table Decorations

Welcome to my Animal Crossing party table set up. I wanted to combine as many elements as I could to really bring the theme to life. On the table you will find Axed wood slices, insects, fossils, fruit trees and even Dinosaur Bones! I was able to throw this look together with what I had on hand, but that’s on being a party planner. Let me walk you through my process to get this look for yourself.

From left to right. You will need your gifts wrapped up like the Animal Crossing sky packages and tied up with a read balloon! I used a small wine glass to make the gift look like it was floating. Check out my fresh flower lloid (gyroid) planter pot! SO CUTE! You can find it here for your party set up, or just regular life.

I used a plastic dark green table cloth (Dollar Tree) and a soft bright green Easter badding (Dollar Tree) to top off the table to give the Animal Crossing grass. Michaels had pink petal place mats which fit this theme to a tee. Including fresh fruit is a must for an Animal Crossing party so I decided on Strawberries because they are my daughters favorite. You need tea cups for a tea party, So I pulled out some of my grandmothers hand-me-down china which fit in almost any theme. Combine all of these things with my Animal Crossing Character Cutouts and you have a Animal Crossing Party.

On the right you can find some tea treats and party favors for my little party guests. I found the macarons at Walmart and I turned regular peanut butter and jelly into little bears with a Panda cutter from Amazon. Inside the clear jar you’ll find “Shooting Stars” which turned into great sugar stars for our tea. I had a great time making my Bell Bag Favors. You can find these sweet burlap bags at Michaels and simply draw a brown star on them with a brown marker. Super easy and effective DIY for your Animal Crossing Party. In the background you’ll find even more flowers. I even found some peach branches in my flower stash, they had to make it to the table.

The Cake!

Ah, Our sweet, sweet cake! My daughters one request more then anything was to have a strawberry cake. Insisted on it. Lucky for me I found Jaime’s Cakes – Cakes – Ocoee, Florida on Facebook. He brought our vision to life! Strawberry cake with light strawberry frosting. It looks exactly like the Strawberry cake form the game. I’m excited to see what else Jaime will show off in future My Nerd Nursery Party tables.

An Animal Crossing party has so many fun ideas for Party Favors! Some stapes I recommend would be Chocolate Coins (Bells) and Flower seeds. I also included stickers and a squishy new neighbor. All of these fun goodies fit in the DIY Bell bag.

One of the things I am most excited about were these Coloring page Paper Village Houses. I had my daughter color this one to show it off. Quite the artist is she not. You can find that file here in my shop! Its a great activity for any Animal Crossing fan.

Animal Crossing Birthday Party – DIY Fossils and Party Games – Domicidal Wife

It was super easy to make the Fossils and even easier to hide them and little plastic bugs around the trees in our park. The kids had a great time finding all the lost things and were over joyed to get their Bell Bag Favors as rewards.

My Portal (2) party backdrop is a fun orange and blue combo of many different affordable items. Reusing the wheels from the Over the garden wall party, Orange and blue streams and simple while balloons I was able to create a organized chaos. Which I am Infact in love with. You can find the blue, orange and white table cloths from the Dollar Tree and well as the glowstick platters. Finish off the look with the Portal Party Alphabet Banner.

I continued the blue and orange theme all the way down to the table cloth. I was able to achieve this look my cutting the table clothes in half. I decided to keep my decorations easy to copy, but if you have one please add any and all Portal (2) toys you have! I had silver place mats on hand which replicated the silver walls of the challenge rooms. I made sure to have square serving trays, keeping everything streamline.

If I were to recommend a time for this party I would say night! this party would be an amazing Sleepover theme! I used glow sticks in several of my decorations and even food which made for a great effect!

Now to what every DIY Portal (2) Party needs, A WHEATLEY! I made this super easy Wheatley piñata out of a Chinese lantern, silver tissue paper and this printable! You can make one too!

I had the best time with this look! I wanted to capture the woods in fall like in the series. Everything started with a cloth forest backdrop (Amazon). The top of the backdrop is adorned with auburn colored pin wheels. (Copper from Michaels and the others from the Dollar Tree) It turned out just like I envisioned. I finished everything off with my Happy birthday Banner.

Party Table

My party table channeled the woods and the Opening to the series. I loved the opening title scene so I incorporated it as much as I could. My table banner is available in my shop as more then just a table banner. (it would also look amazing as a backdrop). For table clothes, Black and Gold from the Dollar Tree were used. Super simple and effective. The back of the table (behind everything) fall exploded with leaves and autumn flowers. You can also find black branches to channel the beast.

From left to right, Pumpkin pie bites are the perfect easy snack for the party. In my drink dispenser is delicious Apple Cider (Tik-tok recipe) and of course a black lantern. You can find these adorable Over the Garden wall character cutouts of Wirt and Greg in my shop too!

My Centerpiece is JASON FUNDERBURKER! I made him! This was a super fun DIY Project from the Dollar Tree! He’s a frog piggy bank and I love him! He sat atop the cutest cupcake tower this side of Over the Garden Wall. The cupcakes had one of three cupcake liners and a adorable cupcake topper. I incorporated more wood into the woods with my favorite wood slices.

The right side of my table held yummy caramel popcorn and POTATOS and MOLASSES! A Over the Garden wall Party must! If you couldn’t guess this set was mashed potatoes and gravy, but I can pretend its Molasses. Finishing off everything with a Beatrice cutout available in the shop.

The perfect favor for an Over the Garden Wall party is a pet rock to take home and “That’s a ROCK FACT!” If this is a creative type party maybe have your guests paint their own pet rocks for a fun touch and activity. These rocks were painted my me (Purchased from Dollar Tree) and sealed with Modge Podge.

If your throwing a Over the garden wall party channel your inner Wirt, Greg or even the beast to add to the fun. Guine dressed up as Beatrice and even found the bird I hid in my set.

How I Created a Magical Totoro DIY Party!
Ever since I conceived my daughter, I hoped she would fall in love with the magic of Studio Ghibli just as I did. Studio Ghibli is a Japanese film making company who turns stories into art, displayed through animations that are loved by all ages. Before my daughter was born, my husband and I were blessed to visit the Studio Ghibli Museum in Mitaka, Japan, where I even purchased a stuffed animal Totoro that my daughter now enjoys. I knew that by age two she would be able to recognize her favorite movie characters, and I began planning… a Totoro party would be a big hit, for her, me, and guests alike!

Our Family is Vegan

Our family is vegan — baby too! So we would never want to serve animal products at an event we are hosting. After checking a few locally owned vegan restaurants, we opted for something cheaper, easier, and something that would be familiar to our guests. Chipotle has great options for vegans, and their party takeout was stellar! I ordered online a few days in advance, and my husband picked the food up about thirty minutes before party time.

We offered a taco bar to our guests with corn, flour, and hard shell tortillas, black beans, pinto beans, chopped lettuce, sauteed fajita veggies, brown rice, spanish rice, and salsa. My mom actually prepared the spanish rice herself, just so we had enough to share. We had about 20 guests, but ordered for 15, and had so much leftover we ate Chipotle for five days straight! It was very affordable. The catering containers from Chipotle are also dishwasher/microwave safe. We kept them afterwards!

Using themed cookie cutters is such an easy way to add more flair to your party! For my daughter’s party I found Totoro, Calcifer, and a Kodama cookie cutters to use on Etsy. My Nanna’s Christmas cookies were always something I looked forward to most at Christmas time. Since her original recipe wasn’t vegan, I simply replaced the egg with a flax egg and the cookies turned out exactly the same. These Ghibli cookies were an easy treat to make, and a hit with my family who remembered Nanna’s recipe, but any sugar cut-out cookie recipe will work.

Two additional sides we offered were Abe’s Vegan Mini Muffins, which I picked up from Whole Foods, and fruit. I topped each muffin with a Ghibli Cupcake topper to put them over the top! For her cake, we contacted local bakery Miss Chickpeas and placed an order for a two tier vanilla cake. They asked for a theme, and I told them ‘flowers’. Check out what they came up with! If you have a cute cake topper that matches your theme, try a simple cake design to keep the cake looking beautiful. The large Totoro Topper in included with the Cupcake toppers File as well as the banner files. You can never have enough Totoro.

Decorations

Leading up to her party and throughout decration-creations, she would look, point, and shout “RAAAAA!” — a big yawn — one of Totoro’s only phrases in the movie. I giggled in anticipation of the party works that were to come. In Texas, the weather during winter is as unpredictable, and can change as much as forty degrees in one day! But I went forward with hopes that her party would be a cool 70 degrees (btw… in the end I was right!). With that in mind, I decided to host the party in our yard, with decorations centered around Totoro, Ghibli, trees, and flowers.

It was amazing working with My Nerd Nursery to start — her cupcake toppers, cake topper, and birthday banners added such a professional finish to all the decorations, and tied in the theme so well. It was as simple as printing, cutting, and decorating! To add a feminine touch to the party, I went to the florist and picked up a few bouquets of flowers. The clear vases I used to arrange them were old pasta and apple sauce jars.

Instead of a photo booth with props, I opted to hand paint a huge Totoro. No one would mistake what the theme was with him standing there! I abducted a gigantic cardboard box from my work’s recycling bin and set to work. First, draw the outline of Totoro and use a box cutter to cut. Afterwards, start with painting the white belly followed by the eyes. Paint the gray and black very last. His leaf hat was from a set of plastic leaves ordered off Amazon. These leaves would be great table decorations for a Legend of Zelda or forest themed party too! The cardboard Totoro was such a fun decoration to make, and I even keep it in her room to this date as a decoration.

Last but not least, my mother in law offered to purchase a pinata for the party. “There couldn’t possibly be a Totoro pinata” I thought. We found this one on Etsy from Pinatas USA!

I knew the weather was unpredictable, but hoped for sun and ordered my daughter this adorable hand-stitched Totoro dress from Etsy shop Pipocass! She has so many Totoro-themed dresses and shipped quickly from Spain.

Having a Totoro or Ghibli themed party yourself? Get creative? I went to a birthday party at a friend’s home a month later and she had hand-crafted a Catbus out of a refrigerator box!
